The Office of Civic & Community Engagement and Winston-Salem State University host a screening of two documentaries: Power to the People, Y’all, an intimate portrait of the founding members of Winston-Salem’s Black Panther Party chapter; and Free Joan Little, the story of the 1975 trial that became a rallying point for civil rights. Filmmakers Tressie McMillan Cottom and Yoruba Richen will join Larry Little, former leader of the Winston-Salem Black Panther Party, for a moderated discussion.
