OUT at the Movies: Opening Night Screening

OUT At The Movies International Film Festival will hold its Preview Night Screening at the Kulynych Auditorium on Thursday, Oct. 3 at 7pm in partnership with the Documentary Film Program. The screening will feature two short films – “And You Are…?” and “Artists on the Edge” as well as a Q&A with filmmakers following the screening. In addition, prior to the screenings, OUT At The Movies will announce its first student internship program in collaboration with the DFP. The internship recipient Alissa Simone (MFA ’25) will screen a short clip of her thesis film (in production) that explores the history and culture of burlesque dancing within the queer community. After the event, there will be a reception at the Byrum Welcome Center.

The partnership between OUT At The Movies and the Documentary Film Program highlights the intersection of experiential learning, arts education, and community partnerships.
